Awana Grand Prix software any leader can run
Separate races and trophies for Cubbies, Sparks and T&T, fair heats for every car, and results on the big screen. A volunteer runs the laptop, so leaders are free to spend the evening with families.
Free for up to 20 racers. Runs in Chrome or Edge, and keeps going when the Wi-Fi doesn't.
How Grand Prix night runs
Set it up the week before, and race night takes care of itself.
- Before race night. Add your clubbers by club: Cubbies, Sparks, T&T, or any groups you use. Loading names ahead of time keeps the line moving at check-in
- Check in. Tap each car in as it passes inspection
- Race setup. Make each club its own race, with its own awards. Set your track's lane count and lane colors
- Race. A volunteer records each heat's finish order, and the standings update on the big screen as you go
- Awards. Reveal the speed winners for each club on the screen. Add design trophies like Best Paint Job or Most Creative alongside them
Made for a church gym
- Brackets for each club
- Cubbies, Sparks and T&T each race on their own, then the fastest cars can meet in a championship final. Race Puggles or a parents' class just for fun as an exhibition.
- No timer needed
- Many clubs race without an electronic finish line. A judge taps the finish order, and the app keeps the lane rotation fair.
- Leaders free to visit
- The big screen shows who's racing and who's winning, so leaders spend the night with families, not answering "when is my kid up?"
- Announcements on the screen
- On the Pack Plus plan, put upcoming club nights, a verse or a thank-you to your volunteers on the screens between heats.
- Parents follow on their phones
- Pack Plus also gives families a link and QR code to see the heat on the track, who's next and live standings. There's no app to install.
- No Wi-Fi? No problem
- Install it on the race laptop, and everything runs offline in the fellowship hall or gym.
What it costs a club
Free covers up to 20 racers. Many smaller clubs never need more.
$49 a year adds unlimited racers, camera replay, printable award certificates, cloud saving and helpers with their own sign-in.
$89 a year adds a second big screen, announcements, online sign-up and the parents' phone page. Compare the plans. (The plans are named Pack and Pack Plus, but they work the same for clubs.)
Questions
Can we give speed and design awards?
Yes. Speed awards come from the race results for each club. Add special awards like Best Paint Job, Most Creative or Best in Show, and they're presented on the big screen with the rest.
Can Puggles or parents race just for fun?
Yes. Add them as their own race and mark it as an exhibition, so those cars don't qualify for the championship.
Do we need internet at the church?
No. Install the app on the race laptop before race night, and racing, the big screen, printing and awards all work offline.
Is Derby Dashboard part of Awana?
No. It's independent software and isn't affiliated with or endorsed by Awana Clubs International. It simply runs Grand Prix-style races well.
